Francesco Bognini.

I design software, build products and run businesses (that survives most of the times).

About

Hi, I’m Francesco! ☕

I’m Francesco Bognini, a Software Architect and .NET Software Engineer with a strong focus on building systems that actually survive production.

I’m the founder of Voucherly, a startup operating in the payments and restaurant services space: from digital ordering to pay-at-table solutions. Building a product in this domain forced me to think beyond code: business models, integrations, reliability, edge cases, and human behavior all matter.

In parallel, I continue to work as a consultant. I help companies design, build, and evolve backend systems, integrations, and product architectures – especially in environments where software is business-critical.

I started my career in consulting, working with companies in food retail and welfare (where software isn’t just code, but operations, timing, money, and people).
At 21, I founded my first software house (it’s still alive today, and still part of how I work). That experience shaped how I think about software quality, long-term decisions, and technical responsibility.

I care deeply about clean, readable, well-structured code.
At the same time, I’m pragmatic enough to know when “perfect” is the enemy of “done”.

I tend to work best in focused, independent settings, but experience taught me that meaningful products are built with (and for) people.

When I’m not working, I dance, do theatre, write, and drink hot tea.
Those things shape how I think more than they might seem.

If you’re building something and need help thinking it through, let’s talk or connect.
